By province
Canada’s national holidays
Only a few holidays are statutory everywhere in Canada: New Year’s Day, Good Friday (in Quebec, employers may give Easter Monday instead), Canada Day, Labour Day and Christmas Day. Others — Family Day, Victoria Day, the August Civic Holiday, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Boxing Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — depend on the province and on whether the workplace is federally regulated.
“LW” marks holidays on a Monday or Friday, which make a long weekend. Data comes from the open-source Nager.Date API, listed in the Public APIs directory.
